G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill in a very senior role:


Mine Engineer Operation (MD 0349)
Sumatera Utara

Responsibilities: 

This position will be based in Mining Department Martabe project and reports directly to the Senior Mine Engineer Operation.
The role of the Mine Engineer-Operation is to :
  • Ensure operation of contractor follow G-Resources Operational plan and Standard of Safety, Health, Environmental and Community
  • Ensure compliance of Kepmen 555.K/26/M.PE/1995 regarding General Mining Occupational Safety and Health and related Regulations with Mining Operation during contractor operational activity.
  • Assist in the short medium term planning and appropriate planning processes are in place to ensure pit operations can be carried out to deliver the required ore to the filling team
  • Monitor and manage the mining contractor, as per mining contract, effective use plant and equipment, achievement of target tonnages

Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining.
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing pit operations, mine stockpile and ROM management, managing pit wall integrity, dewatering operations.
  • Knowledge and able to operate of mine software, such Surpac.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Mine Plan, drill and blast, pre-split.
  • Manage and schedule daily activities of Mine Contractor, ensure adequate, resources, production, pit wall stability.
  • Skill set including effective communication, man management, planning & mechanical maintenance skills.
  • Assist to prepare mine budgets.
  • Inefficiencies identified are appropriately managed and improvement initiated
  • Create all reporting requirements to ensure accuracy and timelines
  • Knowledge of Mine Safety Act and Inspection Act & Regulations.
  • Assist in the short medium term planning and appropriate planning processes are in place to ensure pit operations can be carried out to deliver the required ore to the milling team.
  • Monitor and manage the mining contractor, as per mining contract, effective use of plant and equipment, achievement of target tonnages.
  • Understanding of contracts, costing
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Good Production reporting and timeliness.
  • Experience and review contractual monthly claims and issues. 
  • Good Mining Experience.
