Research & Development Execution Senior Engineer (Specific on Mechanical Design Work)
(Jawa Timur - Surabaya)
Responsibilities:
- Review and check any deliverables from Product and Process to ensure the functionality, applicability, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Determine Mechanical Design Parameters required for the design as per Customer requirement and/or agreed International Codes.
- Perform Pressure Parts Calculation of the product to ensure that the selected material is suitable, within allowable stress limit and in accordance to the Customer specification.
- Perform Steel Structure Analysis to ensure that the product is withstand with any conditions specify in the design.
- Perform Pipe Stress Analysis to ensure the pipes are routed within allowable stress limit.
- Perform proper Pipe Support selections suitable with the product designed.
- Incorporate quality, safety, manufacturing, cost, material availability, erection, installation, and transportation limitation into the design process.
- Review design output prior submittal to external customer for design compliance to design standards..
- Coordinate a verification process on the engineering development tasks to ensure validity, functionality, applicability, quality, and cost effectiveness in accordance to proper procedure.
- Assist less experienced engineer or technicians on specific technical problems.
- Engage in domestic and/or international travel.
- Ascertains safe working condition, health and environment in the work and reports condition of danger at supervisor.
- Obeys all related regulations of EHS in job activity area.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Master's Degree / Post Graduate Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Strong technical knowledge of product line, especially in steam power plant. Good understanding in mechanical design concept and technical drawing.
- Working knowledge of P.C based word processing, spreadsheet, database, programming language and engineering programs applications.
- English proficiency in conversation, writing and reporting is required.
- Good team work and proven leadership skills.
- Having technical knowledge of HRSG and combined cycle products.
- Willing to be based in Surabaya
